Assets for The 90's Arcade Racer

I am a huge arcade dork, especially for arcade racing games. I collect arcade hardware and have an entire sitdown Outrun 2 cabinet in my house. The games produced by SEGA AM2 over the years are absolute classics--with vibrant art styles, great music, and superb controls that will stand the test of time for many years to come. They simply feel wonderful to play.

When I saw Antonis was making a game that strived to emulate the look and feel of SEGA's arcade racers I immediately offered my services. Antonis has done an outstanding job on the rest of the art, and I am very proud to be a part of this project. He has graciously allowed me to show the assets as they are completed, so this page will be continuously updated with content.

The cars are around 10,000 triangles each and use 2048x2048 diffuse, spec, and normal map textures for the main body, with additional 512 diffuse spec and normal for the wheels.
