Scratch Painting
This is the method I use to paint scrapes. I much prefer hand painting scratches, even if it is a little slower. Any automatic method I've ever tried has had sloppy results. I use a brush that I made to quickly lay down the roughness, then I go back over it with the same brush to remove some of the scrapes as so the scratch isn't so consistent.
